Actually it's a lovely day in any season. Not too hot, not too cold, birds are chirping, there are no school buses tearing up and down the street, no screaming kids, and even the neighbors are quiet.
Sigh. Why can't all days be like this one. It has been a tough day though. Sleep deprived yet again, had to get up early for a C/Link appointment, then stick around in Gosford for three hours until I had my second one. Three hours is way too long to spend in Gosford without rolling dice.
So, what hoops did I jump through today? First appointment, standard - ten minutes waiting, one minute at the desk. Have you been attending your appointments? (What appointments? I've been on an exemption for the last three months.) Have you filed any more medical certificates? And so on.
The second appointment though was more productive. It was for my Job Capacity Assessment. I finally got the appointment whilst I was on the train coming home from Morisset last Friday. It was far better than what I thought it would be. My interviewer had been briefed by my psychologist, and things went well. I now have another exemption until October, but more importantly, I'll be changing Job Network Providers, which was her recommendation.
So, with a heavy heart (sarcasm), I wandered down to the Salvos after stopping off at Woollies for milk and celebratory Tim Tams (on special for a ridiculous $1.50), and informed them that I'll have another exemption, and will be removed from their system. It means I will be going to one that will be individually tailored, rather than group tailored.
Then I calmly waited for a bus, and headed home. It wasn't all bad. I had a nice sit in the sun, read, made some notes in my journal, did a couple of exercises that my psyche recommended, had lunch, wandered around a bit, but I must say that I was quite happy to get on the bus and out of there. Gosford at the best of times is still creepy.
Soccer. You will be pleased to hear, that we won our second game of the season on Saturday. It was the easiest of wins, as our opponents didn't even bother to show up. With no notification of a no show, their club will be fined, and we get credited with a 3-0 win. We also leapfrog them on the table. Of course, we would've preferred to play, seeing we probably could've beaten them by more than three, but we were happy to take the points, and have a game of 7-a-side instead, then a beer afterwards.
So that's where I'm at at the moment. Stable, in moderately good spirits, and in the mood for a little afternoon nap, even though it might mean problems sleeping again tonight.
Meh. Hello couch. Ciao!
